Counting to the Magic: 49 Days

Today, what I am most looking forward to is kinda similar to what I am looking forward to every day, seeing Chris again! Today is 50 days until Chris comes to Disney, as he is leaving the day after us since he is not driving, but flying down.  After our first Disney vacation together last June, I can't imagine having a trip to a Disney park without him!  He is what really brings out the magic for me!

One Amazing Vacation!

Wow, these past few weeks have been absolutely amazing!! Being in Disney World from June 11th to the 19th, in Winnipeg, Manitoba from the 21st to July 1st, and of course, being with my wonderful boyfriend Chris the entire time!

The Final Stretch

We are almost there! It is T minus 14 days until Chris and I are on Disney property and the excitement is really building! I have already pulled out the suitcase and began packing. I have set stuff aside for a few weeks now, but finally have the suitcase out to put stuff in. I have bought many of the supplies needed for down there, such as shampoo, toothpaste and the like. Chris and I ordered customized maps last week and they arrived today and in the mail a few days ago we received our luggage tags and vouchers, which I am very excited about!! Everything is slowly coming together, 250 days ago I didnt think this trip would ever get here, but now it is!

Meets in Disney World!!!

For many months now (feels like forever!!), I have been talking about a trip to Walt Disney World that my boyfriend, Chris (of Cosmic Reid's Starlight Cafe on Magical Mouse Radio) and I will be taking. Well, that trip is a mere 23 days away (Woo Hoo!!!!) and we have made our final arrangements! Our schedule is as follows:

June 12- Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, Dinner @ Cap'n Jacks, DisneyQuest
June 13- Epcot, Dinner @ San Angel Inn, Magic Kingdom EMH
June 14- Blizzard Beach, Winter Summerland Golf, Dinner @ Boma, Live Video Chat 8-9 Eastern*
June 15- Magic Kingdom, Breakfast @ Crystal palace, Dinner @ O'hana
June 16- Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney, Dinner @ T-Rex Cafe, Meet at Boardwalk Bakery 8pm Eastern ^
June 17- Epcot, Dinner @ Chef Mickey's, Magic Kingdom for Main Street Electrical Parade

^Meet at Boardwalk Bakery 8pm Eastern- On Wednesday the 16th, Chris and I will be meeting with anybody who wants to meet at the Boardwalk Bakery at the Boardwalk Resort. Anyone who happens to be on property and wants to say hi or even if you just live in the Orlando Area and want to stop by, please do! We will be at the Bakery for a while, but depending on the crowd, we will see where the evening takes us! Let us know if you are interested in meeting!

If you are going to be in the WDW area June 11-19 and our scheduled meeting time does not work for you and you want to meet for lunch or ride an attraction with Chris and me, just send us a message! We would love to meet all of our great Disney friends!

WDW Trip Update

Finally can write this Trip update!

With 146 days until Chris and I head to Walt Disney World and the Animal Kingdom Lodge, we are slowly getting all of our info together. Our ADR's have been made and we have a basic plan of what we want to do each day! Here's our plan so far:

Friday June 11th
- Arrive in the morning
-Hollywood Studios
-ABC Commissary for Dinner
- Fantasmic
-Evening EMH at Magic Kingdom

Saturday June 12th
- Animal Kingdom (7am EMH)
- Picnic in the Park for Lunch (if its still around)
- Hotel in the afternoon
- Go to Downtown Disney
- Cap'n Jacks 6:30
- La Nouba 9:00

Sunday June 13th
- Epcot (8am EMH)
- San Angel 6:00
- Illuminations at 9
- Magic Kingdom EMH

Monday June 14th
- Typhoon Lagoon
- Boma 6:05
(Possibility of a Live Chat with friends at Srsounds.com, but more info to come on that)
- Night Vision Goggles at night

Tuesday June 15th

That is our plan so far. It may be tweaked with the possible addition of wanting to see Spectromagic one night along with the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party, but we will have to see about those. Feel free to let us know what you think and if you have any suggestions for us!

Also, keep your eyes here because I will soon start reviewing the tools I am using to plan this trip, including books and handy websites.

June Trip Update

This morning I got up at 5:30 in the morning to prepare to book my dining online!!.....only to find out that I could only book our first day and that if I wanted to book online, I would have to wake up every day for the next week and book the restaurants we wanted that day to ensure we got the restaurants that we want. I was very frustrated by this and after going back to sleep for a little bit, I decided I would try calling at 7 and see if calling made any difference. The worst they could say is no. But they didnt!!

Because Chris and I are staying at a resort on property (Animal Kingdom Lodge for those who are just coming into the trip report), we were able to book over the phone! We got everything we wanted with only a few changes in time! Here are our choices:

6/12- Cap'n Jacks for 6:30pm
6/13- San Angel Inn for 6:00pm
6/14- Boma for 6:05pm
6/15- Crystal Palace for 8:05am
6/15- 'Ohana for 9:30pm (Have to call again about this one, the schedule wasnt out yet so this is the only time they had. we are hoping for 7:30)
6/16- T-rex Cafe for 6:00pm
6/17- Chef Mickey's for 5:30pm
6/18 (Chris' Birthday)- 50's Prime Time for 12:05pm
6/18 (Still Chris' Birthday)- California Grill for 9:00pm

These are our restaurant plans!! We are so so excited to be doing these!! Once everything gets cleared up about 'Ohana, Ill post our basic itinerary!

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!

That's Right!! Chris Reid (that man of my dreams I mentioned earlier) and I just booked our first trip to Walt Disney World together!!!

I received this awesome email from Disney Destinations that had a special PIN code in it that would give me 20% off a Value Resort, 30% off a Moderate and 40% off a Deluxe. Naturally, after much research, the 40% off was the best buy!

The next thing to do was to decide which deluxe to choose. Again, after much price checking and debating and asking for recommendations, Chris and I decided on the Animal Kingdom Lodge! We both never thought we would be able to stay in a place like this!! Especially with a Savannah View! That's right, we have a Savannah view!!!

Excited does not describe in any way how amazingly thrilled we are!!!

Our trip is booked for June 11, 2010 and we are staying until June 19th!! We have park hopper passes with the water park option and will be on the Dining Plan! We are able to book our dining reservations on December 13th, so make sure to keep an eye out for a post around then saying where and when we will be eating!

Since we have the Savannah view, we are also hoping to post a web camera in our room looking out on our balcony! There is even a possibility of a live chat session from our room one night in the SRsounds.com chatroom! More on all of this will be coming when the trip gets closer!
